Dark_Funeral_FSIt's the coldest Winter in the UK in decades and Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral unleash their new album 'Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus' to help warm us up. It also just happens to be their most accomplished release to date.

Whilst maintaining their old school black metal credentials, the technical prowess on display here, along with the pristine production job by Peter Tagtgren, help separate this from a lot of run-of-the-mill black metal doing the rounds these days. All the elements you'd want are there; hyper-speed riffs, touch-type speed drumming, necro vocals and plenty of atmosphere especially on tracks like 'Stigmata' and 'My Funeral'.

To make this offering even tastier, in addition to the standard jewel case release there's a 2-disc limited edition version with a bonus 55 minute DVD.  Dark Funeral are also set to tour Europe in March/April 2010 so get out there and catch them. If this release is anything to go by you won't be disappointed.
