Pretty_MaidsAfter a mighty 30 years in the music business Danish Rock 'n' Roll outfit Pretty Maids are about to unleash this celebratory live CD/DVD release 'It Comes Alive (Maid In Switzerland)'.

The crowd roars as to what you'd assume is the dimming of the arena's lights (I sadly can't tell you as I've only got the audio to review here) and as the keyboard led atmospheric intro to 'Pandemonium' breaks out into a musical explosion of Euro Rock with the epic-ness continuing directly into 'I.N.V.U.' There's some mighty fine melodic vocals both lead and backing that grow in strength amidst the powerhouse pedal to the metal group efforts, exquisite melodic riffage from Ken Hammer being the fitting musical companion for Ronnie Atkins extensive vocal range, and this stands out brilliantly on 'Hell On High Heels' a perfect tune for the live setting.

More thunderous rifftastic fretwork crops up on 'Wake Up To The Real World' and there's no stopping the musical intensity of 'Destination Paradise'. There's always a lull at these types of rock shows and this comes in the form of 'Another Shot' a track that delightfully, for a live viewing audience involves crowd participation throughout.  The all round Auditorium involvement continues into the singalong 'Scream' and the softer 'Walk Away' something that really shows the strength in depth of Pretty Maid's songwriting prowess.

'It Comes At Night' rocks it back up a Euro-gear and is a track from their 2010's 'Pandemonium' opus and then to honor the legacy of the band the guys perform 'Queen Of Dreams' from 1984's 'Red Hot And Heavy'.  The piano led 'Savage Heart' is up next and once more crowd participation is set to maximum before 'Clay', the acoustic led 'Yellow Rain', 'Rock The House', 'Back To Back' and 'Rodeo' forge on in a very distinctive Euro Rockin out kinda way.  The more commercial side of the Pretty Maids career ends the main set with 'Love Games' a Headbanger's Ball video hit from back in the day.

Another keyboard moment of epic-ness welcomes the band back for the encore of 'Future World' and 'Little Drops Of Heaven' before a brief interlude for band introductions leads into the John Sykes penned 'Please Don't Leave Me' before the guys finish on a metal high with the title track to their debut 'Red Hot And Heavy'.

Thank you and goodnight..........................
