thursdayThursday, the New Jersey rock band, are back with their sixth studio album, and what an album it is! While the band still rock the fudge out they now do so with a slice of melody...

For me 'Fast To End' is the perfect opener and has future hit written all through it, with big guitars and hummable hooks it is easy to see from the word go that this could be many people's contender for album of the year... and that's from ONE song! Next up is 'No Answers' which slows the pace down and showcases the band's talent and with painful lyrics highlights the emotion involved.

'A Darker Forest' follows and, remember back in the day when the thirrd song was always the big hit? Well, this looks to be the case again as this song is simply beautiful, the vocals are hauntingly gorgeous. 'Sparks Against The Sun' is another highlight of a world class album from the New Jersey oiks! With an almost Jovi feel to the "Woah-ohs" this is a song born to be played at summer festivals! 'Open Quotes' is more old school Thursday which is kind of needed to remind us that they can still rock out! 'Past And Future' is another slowed down song to start, but it builds up for the big RAWK chorus...

Now after this, and as per usual for albums of this millennia, the album suffers from a midway fallout... now that's not to say that the rest is bad - it's far from that - but nothing really grabs me until the last two songs of which the penultimate 'Turnpike Divide' is clearly the winner - this song is pure raw emotion! More of this please!

Old-time fans will be screaming "Sell Out" but I say matured to the point of greatness! I love it! Apart from the midway fallout, this is a stonking album that feels like a grower!
