Guildford based (so called) melody-punksters Fly This For Me hurl out their debut EP, entitled 'Making Shadows'. Blowing in with 'She Said' and the expected emotional vocal and biting instrumentation for this type of release allows for a neat, catchy of sorts, choral arrangement, and this continues into 'We All Fall' with some hints of influence spewing forth in a sideway slant towards the LostProphets but with their hook-laden magic unfortunately not rubbing off on the Fly Guys. Title track 'Making Shadows', again, shows promise on musical lift-off but fades into musical pop punk oblivion as the number evolves, but in the early days of the band, the potential is certainly there with some nice chanty mass vocal moments throughout the four tracks, concluding with 'Rock Bottom', another almost there tune, but the songwriting needs a little honing and perfecting before anybody will take notice of these animated upstarts..... www.facebook.com/FlyThisForMeUK
