'Til These Eyes' features on Hackett's latest, and very well received, album 'Beyond The Shrouded Horizon'. It's a beautiful orchestrated acoustic ballad that clocking in at a punchy two and a half minutes can't really be described as prog at all! 'Enter The Night' meanwhile is a solid and vibrant slice of prog-tinged AOR and is a radio mix of the original version of the track that featured as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of the aforementioned album. Both tracks illustrate that after over 40 years in the business, Steve Hackett can still very much deliver the goods, and with some ease.
So come on Uber Proggers- a top slice of the legendary Mr. Hackett and a contribution to a very worthwhile cause. Put your hands in your pockets and get this single - you'll only piss it up a wall otherwise! Now I'm fully aware that there are plenty of anti-prog Uber Rockers out there who would run screaming in horror at the mere thought of a Steve Hackett single. To you, I have a deal. Put your hands in your pockets, make a contribution to ChildLine, and I'll promise not to come round your house, tie you up, commandeer your CD player and play this single repeatedly at you at full volume. Now I can't be much fairer than that, can I?
