jessieuseBuffalo, NY singer Jessie Galante has dedicated her life to the art of live performance, it is said that the true soul is more than just the sound of the singer.....

Funk it in there baby; title track 'Spitfire' opens this album up based around some funky little instrumentation underneath a classic raspy vocal and a neat hook. 'High Road Easy' is another catchy slice of tunage with elements of da blues and plenty of soul involved thanks to that instantly infectious vocal delivery and that funky guitar, but it's the voice that grabs your attention and won't let go once you're inside that Galante musical web.

'I Crave You' really is shockingly good and the all important commercial aspects are in full swing on 'Go On Rain On Me' - this lady has it, whatever that is, and her knack of writing killer choruses is quite breathtaking to say the least. The blues-slanted guitar licks on 'Can't Find My Baby' should stand out for that class alone but are getting totally overshadowed by the performance of Jessie Galante's expressive, sexy vocals, and talking of sexy...wow...a Tina Turner, Janis Joplin inspiration rides the musical waves of 'I've Got To Use My Imagination' and makes you just wanna jump up on that bar and strut ya stuff (did I just say that?!) and the track includes some great, almost gospel backing singers.

'Get Away' ups the pace slightly into rockin' mode and once more the level of catchiness is fully maintained and that rocking pace with some funky guitar moments thrown in rolls on into 'Grown Man Cry' but with the soulful bluesy rasp of Galante who's really taking notice of the classy instrumentation on offer. 'No Fool No More' is another bluesy number featuring that gospel backing and has elements of very early Whitesnake and from me that's respect of large proportions; the retro mood continues soulfully into final tune 'Mamma (I Get A Little Crazy')', a delicious, peaceful number and the perfect way to bring closure to this particular release.

A beautiful album from start to finish: well crafted songs and a vocal performance to die for......Go listen people......
