Lead singer Jo has a good laid back yet powerful voice that goes well with the style of rock these northerners play, opener 'Rock And Roll Victim' is a prime example. 'Done And Over' is another track that is so simple yet with the layered vocals, it adds another dimension so that they come across as making a lot more noise than a three piece should have the right to. In fact this is where Dirty Habits strengths lie - deceiving us into thinking it's all simple and plain when in actual fact there is a lot more going on within the songs than first appears.
The fact is that these three tracks will make you bring out your air guitar, flick the horns and ultimately make you smile and shake your booty, plus it's a pleasant surprise to see a female fronted band that aren't trying to be Paramore or Nightwish (because I'm getting tired off them thank you very much).
There is something distinctively moreish and likeable to Dirty Habit and that can only be a good thing.
