ektomorfblackflagFans of Ektomorf rejoice, only a handful of months after their 'acoustic' album, the Hungarian masters are back with what can only be described as their regular studio album fare.

This is their eighth album and you can see why they've been as successful as they have, the Soulfly and Sepultura comparisons aside, they really do hit their stride with aggression and intensity.

'War Is My Way' begins this 14 track album and from the off, it bellows out from the speakers with a rage that is as honest as it is brutal. 'Unscarred' follows in the same fashion before 'The Cross' takes a 'slightly' more melodic route to the same place. Title track 'Black Flag' is a slower, thundering aggression of Hungarian pain and from there, with titles such as 'Fuck Your God', 'Kill It' and 'Never Surrender', you know they're simply not going to let up until they run out of air or people to bludgeon with their beliefs.

Sometimes, it's nice to know that there are bands out there that can still simply bulldoze through to the otherside for no other reason than they need to get there.

"eros", as they say in Hungary.
