Having toured with Fightstar and People In Planes throughout 2009 and bolstering their line up with a new guitarist and drummer, the band set out to record the album that is blasting through my speakers as I type. There is a heavy Snow Patrol presence in the sound, but an altogether rockier affair is to be heard. The NME classed them as "massive-bollocked new shoe rock" and, to be fair, that is the best summing up of USS there ever could be...
With tracks such as 'Hiding Places', 'My Current State (Is Your Latest Objective)' and 'The Longest Calm', the band have concocted an album of shimmer blissful rock that should be all over radio by the end of the year if there is any justice in the world. One thing that I love about this band is they are not afraid to take chances and let the songs breathe and come naturally to our senses.
