jokers176One track isn't really a lot to go on but 'Jamie Jane', a nicely packaged double-disc set that also includes a dvd featuring the video for the song, is a pretty good introduction to a band with a single that reminds me of bands from the 70's who used to write singles.

This has bands like Sweet and T. Rex stamped all over it; a decent riff not too dissimilar to 'Blockbuster' in delivery which is no bad template to follow. I would love to hear a bit more to find out what The Jokers have in their locker because, on this evidence, it's something that appeals to me a lot and namechecking the Faces and Mott The Hoople is always going to catch my attention. Time to check out last summer's long player 'Big Rock 'n' Roll Show' methinks.

About to head off around the UK in December for a decent tour so might just check 'em out.
