Coming at you like the bastard sons of Turmoil, France's Nine Eleven certainly hit a lot of the right buttons with 'City Of Quartz'.  Mixing straight-up hardcore with the angular melodies of the aforementioned Turmoil and throwing in a fair bit of aggression a la Hope Conspiracy, this quintet further enhance the reputation of Chorus of One records who seem to be emerging as a really tidy little label having released some stellar stuff which I've also reviewed right here in recent months.

With riffs and breakdowns aplenty, 'City Of Quartz' really is a very strong effort across all ten tracks on offer, peaking with the quite outstanding 'In Bed With Madonna'. If you like your hardcore in the style of Turmoil, Hope Conspiracy and Paint It Black (just like I do) then give this fucker a spin.  You won't be disappointed.
