THE DERELLAS – who proudly proclaim themselves to be “London’s finest glam-punk band” – have just launched their own record label, the appropriately named ROCKAWAY RECORDS.

The label’s first release, equally appropriately, is a new mini-album by The DeRellas themselves, the Pat Collier-produced ‘Freakshow’.

It will be available on 10” green vinyl and CD, and as a digital download.

“This album is the night you went out for a quick pint and woke up three days later, trashed in a Soho clipjoint, with a Freakshow Freddie tattoo on your forehead,” explains bassist Timmy DeRella.

“In a world of X-Factor, real life celeb freakoids, where plastic surgery is king, we are all part of the ‘Freakshow’.”

The DeRellas kick off their latest European tour in Paris on 13 October.  Confirmed UK dates so far are:

Friday 28 October – London, The Hope & Anchor (Rockaway Beach Hallowe’en Special)

Friday 11 November – Birmingham, Hare & Hounds (with The Black Bombers and The Primevals)

Thursday 17 November – Bristol, Thunderbolt (with The Setbacks)

Saturday 19 November – Reading, Rising Sun Arts Centre (with Rage DC and The Go Go Cult)

Sunday 27 November – London, The 100 Club (with The Crunch)

Sunday 11 December – Edinburgh, Bannermans (with Buzzbomb + more TBC)
