Just take a look at our Gig Reviews page for February and you'll find a month chock a block with great concerts from bands as diverse as The Trews to Reckless Love and from Dan Reed to Dick Venom And The Terrortones.  Now some of these bands may be new names to you, but thanks to the unyielding passion of our writing team for attending shows by both established and upcoming bands we can bring you a healthy mix of what is really going on in the sweatboxes across the UK and sometimes maybe just a little farther a field.

So with February entering its final week, and next month delivering the prospect of some mouth watering shows by the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Mark Lanegan, Rat Scabies and Brian James and UFO (not all together obviously), we thought we'd highlight some gigs that we'll no doubt also be popping along to that may at this present time not currently be on your radar.

Kill_Hannah_bandFirst up, check out Kill Hannah - who started in the late '90s with a dream to become "an edgier, American version of The Cure", frontman Devine led his band through years of "paying dues the hard way", before finally conquering their hometown of Chicago, and going on to navigate a treacherous industry through a relentless worldwide touring schedule, two major label releases, and more than a few VH1 Behind the Music moments. Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) once stated, "Kill Hannah is the future of Chicago Rock", and on the band's third and latest LP, 'Wake Up The Sleepers' out on (OSR/Universal Motown), Kill Hannah have lived up to the praise by delivering their deepest and most thought-provoking collection of songs to date.

Kill Hannah play shows in Manchester, Birmingham London and Bristol next month (running from, the 8th to 11th) ably supported by our old pals Dear Superstar and In Elegance.

Girlschool-300x300Next up - two bands who will need no introduction to the faithful here at Uber Rock as a cracking double bill of uber-approved rock assembles at North London's Relentless Garage on March 10th, as Girlschool and G.M.T play together as part of Girlschool's ongoing 'Hit And Run Revisited' tour.  Also joining the bill on the 10th at NG26.

Tickets for this show are selling fast but you can still get some by clicking on the following link.

Savage_MessiahFinally, a blast of something a little "heavier" as British shred-heavy modern-day metallers Savage Messiah play their first ever headlining shows in the UK, with support from Chicago thrashers and Earache label mates Diamond Plate.

The bands will be teaming up in March for three shows in York, Birmingham and London (running 18th to the 20th respectively), following Diamond Plate's first ever UK shows supporting thrash legends Anthrax as well as a main stage slot at Hammerfest.

So if you white Hi-Tecs and black canvas wearing mofos are looking for something a little bit special next month on the gig front click on the following link where you can get tickets for all these gigs.
