The Order Of CanadaFollowing on from the announcement that frontman Gordon Downie - Canada's "patron saint of cool" - had been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, The Tragically Hip took their final bow in front of a sold-out arena crowd in their hometown, as well as a national TV audience.  Subsequently, last month, the band were awarded their country's highest honour, in recognition of their contribution to the Canadian music scene, as our man in Toronto reports:
