We of course now know what will happen next for the band, but what about that farewell show, was it a proverbial blinder? Well what do you think?

therapythmbWhen Irish stalwarts Therapy? released there ‘A Brief Crack Of Light’ album back at the start of 2012 not many would have predicted that come year end the trio would be headlining a sold out UK headline tour in support of it. However following some warmly received dates with Skindred and a successful festival season people suddenly appeared to remember just what it was they loved about the band in the first place. One such person was our very own Ian Bell, and here is the story of his Therapy? reawakening at their recent Cardiff date.

Pentagram_LogoDoom metal pioneers Pentagram have been around in one shape or another since the early seventies, with the one constant in the band being wild man singer Bobby Liebling.  In all that time they had never managed to play a single show in the UK, that was until just a week or so ago when they finally played in North London's Garage.  Jim Rowland was at the show looking like a man possessed as the 'Day Of Reckoning' was nigh....

Little Angels Belfast Poster 2Returning after a two decade hiatus, (not so) young UK rock gods Little Angels made a very welcome return to Belfast recently as part of their 'One More From The Road' tour. Our man in Norn Iron, Mark Ashby, was there pressed up against the barrier ready to kick up dust with the rest of the crowd when all of a sudden he got a rather rude awakening. Had the bloke behind him slashed down his leg or was there perhaps a more celebratory type reason for this moment of unusual clarity? Well click that link to the right to find out.

danbairdyork86If you didn't dig the Georgia Satellites then you're not truly welcome at URHQ. Uber Rock's Ben Hughes took the short trip (not bus, obviously) to Fibbers in York in the hope of finding some rock 'n' roll salvation amongst the (homemade) sin. Did he find any? The Globe in Cardiff was the setting as our rock 'n' roll renegade found an unwell Spike using his perma-bandana as a hankie yet still managing to find his way around a set littered with classic tunes......

ghost_thmbWhen you fall in love with a band, if you're like us, you'll pretty much do anything to get to see them live, even if it means travelling a good few hundred miles or seeing them supporting other bands you really have no interest in. Jim Rowland manages to do both in his quest to finally witness Swedish doom metallers Ghost live, and in all the excitement manages to be a few months out when picking one of his albums of the year.
