As a teaser to an incredible interview exclusive with uber-approved rock 'n' rollers Flash Bastard that will appear on Sunday the band's frontman Donal Finn tells us about why Hell is gig-shaped for the band as he recalls the tale of the opening night of their US tour in support of Motley Crue. Find out why Nikki Sixx had to sit him down post-gig to...err...have a little talk....

"The first night of the Motley Crue tour was in Washington DC. This was our first stadium gig ever and we weren't ready for the huge gulf between us and the audience.

After a couple of songs I was getting fed up with what I perceived as a lack of energy from the crowd (that's just the way it is in large venues) and decided to do something to get the juices flowing. I launched into a tirade about how the USA needed to be bombed off the map and other such pleasantries. Needless to say, I got the reaction I was looking for. I don't think I've ever been covered with as much spit, beer and other substances I'd rather not speculate on as I was that night. It also turned out that most of the Crue's security guys were ex-marines so, needless to say, I was not popular backstage either.

I remember Nikki [Sixx] sitting me down that night and saying: "Donal...you can say 'Hey, who's ready to rock?' You can say, 'Hey! Who likes to party?' You cannot say 'BOMB THE USA OFF THE MAP!!!!!!' Further proof Americans have no sense of humor ;)

This wasn't our worst gig, things like this happened every day back then, but whatever, there it is!"

This is just a taste of what is to come when Uber Rock's exclusive interview with Donal hits in a couple of days. In the meantime check out the Uber Approved review of Flash Bastard's long-lost album 'Rock N' Roll Must Be Destroyed' - it rules!
