As 2011 draws to an exciting conclusion, Darrel Sutton is all about one event in 2012, and no it doesn't involve a royal living another year or some overrated school sports day occurring in N.E. London. Nah he's buzzing with the prospect of Nasum reforming to celebrate their 20th anniversary albeit of course without their sadly deceased frontman Mieszko Talarczyk. So who better than the band's drummer Anders Jakobsen to fill our anxious scribe in on what to expect?

When Rich Jones of The Loyalties pointed Uber Rock in the direction of 'Rock N' Roll Must Be Destroyed', the long lost album from US glam punks Flash Bastard, little we know that we would suddenly be listening to one of the most badass releases of 2011. And if the record wasn't cool enough in itself, then the band's history will certainly make you sit up and take notice; signed to Nikki Sixx's record label and kicked off a Motley Crue/Scorpions tour for threatening to kill Klaus Meine with a pitchfork? This is yet another must-read UR interview exclusive as Ben Hughes catches up with the band's frontman Donal Finn......

There aren't many places on Uber Rock where you will find references to Marcie Free, Celine Dion and Avril Lavigne other than in a Dave Prince written feature. Somehow he manages to get all three singers mentioned in this rather wonderful chat with Scandinavian AOR sensation Issa and what's more he bags us some awesome signed copies of her album 'The Storm' to give away to you lucky people.

Formed from the ashes of various groups from in or around the Manchester area in 2003, David R Black have been plugging away at the UK rock market ever since making a name for themselves on the live circuit and in turn amassing an extensive back catalogue culminating in 'Secret City' released earlier this year. Rich Hobson caught up with the band recently to find out what 2011 has been like for a band doing it all on their own terms.

It's not that often you get to interview a whole band in one sitting, especially when that band have just received a silver disc for album sales right here in the UK. But when it comes to SOiL you can be sure that they will do things slightly different, especially for their number one female fan Tazz Stander. We join the action upstairs in Camden's Electric Ballroom - it's not yet showtime but the Jägerbombs are already dropping like flies. We predict a Halo or two might be about to get dented.

We've had our eye on Mancunian rockers Dear Superstar here at URHQ for quite some time now. We've watched them develop as a band and their third album, 'Damned Religion', is going to be one of the highlights of 2012. Tazz Stander, being a self confessed DS nut already, got to chat with the band's two guitarists, Adam and Stew, recently, midway through their endless touring schedule.

Earlier in the year British anarcho punx The Disrupters released their first album of new material for close to a quarter of a century. Titled 'Generation Retard' it stands as a savage, angry and brutally direct assault of the corruption, injustice and pure evil that is poisoning the very fabric of our spiralling society. I caught up with frontman and founder member Steve Hansell to talk a little about 'Generation Retard', discuss the decline of western civilisation and to get the low-down on the current state of the band. Could this be one of the last ever Disrupters interviews? Read on to find out...

Tomorrow the UK music scene witnesses the live debut of what can only be called a true supergroup. The name of the band in question is King Mob, and their guitarist is the one and only Mr Chris Spedding. Yup, that Chris Spedding who produced the Sex Pistols, worked with the likes of Robert Gordon, Elton John and John Cale and once wore a womble suit as part his job working with Mike Batt. Johnny H caught up with Chris recently to find out why King Mob should be the name on every true Uber Rocker's lips right now.

This time last year URHQ was buzzing at the prospect of us not only interviewing the king of L.A. shock rock Mr Lizzy Borden, but also seeing his band perform live at the fourth annual Hard Rock Hell festival here in the UK. Thanks to a series of (hopefully) once in a lifetime events we needed up getting neither - to say we were gutted would be an understatement. Thankfully Lizzy Borden are back for this year's HRH and John Oakley picked up the phone recently to get the whole story regarding what went down direct from guitarist AC Alexander.

With Universal Music having just re-released Diamond Head's classic 'Lightning To The Nations' album in a deluxe 2CD format, it seemed like the ideal time to get uber fan Johnny H an audience with the band's mainstay and these days their sole original member, guitarist Brian Tatler. With over 30 years of music to be discussed in less than 30 minutes one thing was for sure and that was H Bombz had no chance of Living On... Borrowed Time.

Nottingham based all-girl punk rock trio The Smears claim to be noisy girls with nice guitars and we here at Uber Rock believe them. Their debut album came out on luscious pink vinyl and with the follow up due for release next spring and the promise of even dirtier songs to look forward to, it looks like exciting times ahead. With an L7 shaped hole in the punk rock market these days, they could well be the gals to fill it up. Ben Hughes caught up with C Doll, Miss C and Maimee V recently to get the lowdown on their band and see what they are up to. Here's what they had to say...
