A little over 18 months ago, Uber Rock's Mark Ashby chatted with then Thin Lizzy bassist Marco Mendoza about his storied career, both as a solo artist and playing with the likes of Ted Nugent, Whitesnake and more acts than you can shake a stick at. Things have moved on considerably since then, not least in terms of the transmogrification of Lizzy into the Black Star Riders: so, when this 'new' band pulled into Belfast for the last date of their mammoth 2013 tour, the two guys hooked up again to bring the story up to date, not only in terms of what is happening on the BSR front but also in terms of the bassist's involvement in the all-star The Dead Daisies project - and to give our man the exclusive inside scoop on working (alongside Doogie White and Vinnie Appice) with 15-year Polish guitar wunderkind Igor ‘Iggy’ Gwadera…
