Nine o’clock on a Sunday morning! I mean, what self-respecting rocker is up and about at 9am on a freakin’ Sunday? Well, this self-respecting Uber Rocker… and The Dark Queen… and the guys (well, five guys and one gal) from New Jersey melodic rockers From The Fire, who were visiting the UK for the first time (well, as a band anyway) to appear on the third and final day of this year’s Rockingham.
The band had a legitimate reason for being up at such an unforgiveable hour: they were on their way to a last minute rehearsal. Uber Rock? Well, having shared a few – or maybe more than a few – beers with guitarist Brian McDermott over the course of the weekend, we thought it only fair to grab them before they did so and have a quick chat about the band’s history and pedigree, and their recently released third album, ‘Octopus’:
