Battle Beast have been confirmed as the Thursday night headliners on Bloodstock’s Sophie Stage, while the Dani Filth-fronted Devilment have been added to the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Friday.

Battle Beast bassist Eero said of the announcement: “We're psyched to be taking on Bloodstock for the first time. We had a great time playing in the UK this spring, and it's really neat to be returning there so soon. Looking forward to seeing all our friends again soon!”

Dani Filth added: “Obviously the band are really looking forward to playing the festival, and as a English band it will definitely be an honour to play the main stage on what is tantamount to the best British festival out there. Hopefully festival goers will come and check Devilment out: we intend on putting on quite a raucous heavy metal spectacle!”

The first batch of additions from the ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ finals also have been announced.

Coventry winners Devil’s Playground, Swindon champions Merithian and Brighton victors Enslavement will all appear on the New Blood stage on the Friday.  On Saturday, it will be the turn of Sheffield champions BA’AL and Dublin’s top dogs ZhOra, while  Sunday sees Slovenia's Mist roll in, as part of the band exchange with MetalDays, alongside CD application winners Heathen Deity and Belfast M2TM victors Shrouded.

The new announcements join headliners Amon Amarth, Ghost and Megadeth, as well as the likes of Archg Enemy, Kreator, Blind Guardian, Hatebreed, Testament, Obituary, King 810, Brujeria and many more.

Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from 10 - 13 August.  Standard weekend camping tickets are on sale at £139 (+ booking fee), while children’s weekend tickets are just £35 (+ booking fee) - and under fours go free!  Details about day tickets will be announced in the near future. VIP and camper van tickets are sold out.
